Escape from the Henhouse

The warm temperatures and strong wind on Friday caused the henhouse to heave, loosening the hatch and blowing the door wide open. The girls, who had not been outside since Ms. Fox's last visit in the fall, could not believe their luck and escaped gleefully into the backyard. They enjoyed the 10°C weather all afternoon and took their sweet time coming home to roost that evening (while I kept a watch for Ms. Fox).
