Winter Wondersushi

A cold, overcast morning turned into a beautiful afternoon (for winter). Sammy explored in the vineyard while I shoveled some snow, watered the hens, and emptied the compost. We had to spend at least an hour outside so Nando the Roomba (named after Nando's hot sauce) could do the vacuuming without giving Sammy an anxiety disorder.

The Riviera is just starting to freeze; a few more cold nights and perhaps we can clear a spot and go skating. That would be a great reason to have a cheese fondue with all the leftover yuletide cheese that I found while cleaning the fridge this morning. Also a good reason to get my skates sharpened.

Annick called earlier in the day to invite me over for dinner ... sushi! 私は寿司が大好き！So any remaining housework was put on hold - like downrigging the Yule Tree. Is Yuletide actually over yet?

The sushi was superb - better than any I had in Japan. And rumour is that Supper Gang might convene next weekend. Such things make winter bearable.
