Some may call it sledding or sliding, but while Ricardo's bœuf bourguignon bubbled away in the slow cooker this morning, Sammy and I went coasting in the vineyard which was covered (in patches) by about 2cm (that's almost 1" for USA readers) of rapidly melting snow. 


It wasn't even cold enough to warrant a hot chocolate afterwards. In fact, it was such a beautiful day, Sammy and I had lunch in the greenhouse where it was 20C!

I was loath to drag myself indoors, but Cheryl and Mummy were coming for dinner, and I had to clean the kitchen and put away the remainder of the yuletide decorations (except for the kitchen bling which we've decided to leave up for the winter). Coasting was over for a while.
