What's the Buzz?

Sure, everyone needs a home, but why in our greenhouse?!?

new wasp digs
I'm tempting fate a bit here by getting up close and personal for a photo since I'm possibly allergic to them. A couple of years ago while on an NSOLD course at Sir Sanford Fleming Park, I was stung on the hand by a huge wasp, and the next day it was swollen like Gerry Seinfield's girlfriend's "man hands".

Pharmacist recommended an Epi-pen, so I bought Benadryl instead. Way more fun than jamming a needle in one's thigh. But to put the square-footage of this new abode into perspective, here is the actual size - slightly larger than a golf ball (although the buzz is they plan to expand):

Doing a search on "humane ways to get rid of wasp nests" turned up the following advice from Yahoo Answers:
"Sing Gaelic folk songs while strumming a harp. This is known to put wasps at ease. Gently remove their nest and gingerly hurl it as far as you can, preferably into the nearest drive in movie theatre lot because wasps are known to be captivated by second run horror flicks and will never want to leave."
If you have a better idea, I'd love to hear it.
